Linux Kernel
============
The aim is to provide the Librem 5 with an upstream Linux kernel from `kernel.org`_, based on either the stable or mainline branch.
Work towards this goal is performed in the Librem 5 `linux-next repository`_, generating patches for submission upstream.
The kernel for the phone or development board can be rebuilt by following the instructions in the :ref:`devkit_howto_rebuilding_kernel` guide.
