make determining the version of the base components simpler

When attempting to report a bug, you are invited to report what version of things you are using.

While each sub-component, rightly, has their own version number, there is no overall version number readily apparent when using the phone gui.

e.g.

I received a new evergreen phone, went to setting, then details and then about.

I would have expected to have some kind of version number (e.g. Debian 10, PureOS 2021.Mar, etc.) that I could easily report so that other bug reports could know where to start

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
