crash on startup using Nextcloud (invalid cast to GeeCollection)

A mobian user reported:

(sm.puri.Calls:1432): GLib-GObject-WARNING : 10:48:06.647: invalid cast from 'GeeAbstractMultiMapValueIterator' to 'GeeCollection'
Segmentation fault

The crash is related to having a nextcloud account. Some more information:

removed account and it is operational again

will activate account again

can confirm activating nextcloud account is causing the problem
