Message bubbles have too little padding

Seems like somewhere between the version in amber-phone and byzantium the message bubbles became more cramped:

amber-phone / byzantium

Although the new version started to omit unnecessary timestamps, you can see that the message bubbles themselves also became more compressed.

The old version looks cleaner and seems to match closer to the mockups.
