Scroll to bottom button displays in new chat

After making a new chat, the scrool to bottom button appears, and clicking on it doesn't make it disappear. Clicking the back button and pressing on the chat doesn't make it disappear, nor does closing and reopening chatty.

As soon as there are enough messages to scroll, scrolling to the bottom will make it disappear.
