Indicate when mic is killed in Settings | Sound

Currently (Dogwood), there is no indication in Settings | Sound that the microphone has been killed by the hardware switch. The level bars under the Input selector don't react to sound, so it looks like something has gone wrong.

I guess it's something one gets used to after a while, but it will probably confuse many first-time users.
