Have an easy privileged editor
Support troubleshooting is somewhat difficult now because it's not clear (to me) what editor to suggest in the not-so-rare case when a new customer runs into easily solvable trouble, like here.
I propose adding either:
- a way to click into a privileged graphical editor (without terminal in between) (at least until we reach some agreed-upon level of stability)
- allow
sudo gedit foo
to work as expected from countless online tutorial - nano to the default installation (Fedora made nano the default editor for its comparative user-friendliness)
and relying on this setup for future troubleshooting.
The alternative is keeping vim and frustrated customers (horror stories of exiting vim galore).
