Like I indicated here: https://source.puri.sm/Librem5/use-cases/issues/21#note_25924 I think the link up the hierarchy should be optimized for reading rather than writing. I'm not very attached to this idea.

Yep I verified that the image is no longer downloaded (even though it still says Downloading to /tmp/devkit but then doesn't actually download it)
