Content free update notes

After most updates that are applied via the PureOS Store, it invites me to read the notes pertaining to the update (via a notification that "Important OS updated have been installed"). Every time that I have done that the notes read just: Includes performance, stability and security improvements

While this is not false, it is hardly informative.

Suggested alternatives:

  • use the comments that are provided by developers as they make changes (may be relatively technical but more useful than the current notes, at least giving hints about where changes are being made)
  • automatically generate information relating to what packages and/or sources have been changed (ditto)
  • actually have someone write release notes (not recommended given the current rate of change and the current priorities)
