Dragging a maximized window on the title bar does not move it under the cursor

if one maximizes e.g. gedit and then click drags on the title bar the window is umaximized and moved but the title bar is not under the mouse cursor since the window is unmaxmized and centered rather than being unmaximized and moved to the top of the output where the cursor is. This looks odd.
