Without that, the overlay stays needlessly visible after selecting a fullscreen window in the activity switcher until further input event.

Just for the reference: either Animatch or mpv -fs work great as a reproducer. Then you swipe from top or bottom edge to reveal shell, go into overview and tap its activity back - without this patch, the shell bars stay visible until you tap somewhere inside the window.
