Ctrl+Alt+Del restarts instantly with no prompt

Using the on-screen keyboard in terminal mode, when trying to press ctrl-alt-pgup to scroll in the terminal, I unintentionally pressed ctrl-alt-del instead. This resulted in the phone immediately fading to black and powering off, rather than bringing up any kind of prompt the way GNOME does.
