Keyboard sometimes starts to take more space than it actually takes

The best way to reproduce it for me is:

  • launch gnome-terminal
  • launch gnome-terminal from it
  • repeat as long as you want to

After two gnome-terminal cycles:

After hiding the keyboard, the space is not reclaimed:

It is reclaimed after killing squeekboard though - so hard to tell without investigation if it's the compositor or the keyboard.
