This makes it simpler to verify the installation

This is green plus the phone overlay. Purple is the version after the
testing migration.

Purple and experimental are "overlays" needing a base distribution.
Allow to specify them but to set a proper base distro in the
configuration.

It was for the nitrogen boards with another display and was never really
used.
