[blocked] Allow user to download system configuration via debconf
User story: I am comfortable with the command line. I want to download configuration values from my trusted host, so that I can update the default Liberty configuration for my system.
Suggested solution:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure liberty-services
# prompt for domain: LIBERTY.HOST
# prompt to use templates [Y/n]: n
# prompt to download configuration [y/N]: y
# download https://LIBERTY.HOST/.well-known/ldh/services.conf
# store in /etc/liberty/services.conf
# trigger update-liberty-services
Notes:
-
(Blocking) We need to define the
.well-known
path, and implement it inldh_middleware
. -
The user is trusting that the downloaded file is safe. Can we do anything more than warn them?
