[Question] Is it possible to upgrade initramfs-tools version?

PureOS initramfs-tools version is 0.132 but the package btrfs-progs breaks with initramfs-tools (< 0.137). I don't know why PureOS doesn't use initramfs-tools from Debian, so is it possible to upgrade PureOS initramfs-tools without break things?
