sound output device does not switch automatically when headphone jack is plugged in or removed

This happened on a L15v4 with byzantium but it is the same g-c-c package

When you plug in or remove a jack the output device does not automatically change, and the field for selected output device is goes blank and you need to go to the sound options and manually select the output device.

Bellow video is just listening to audio, plugin the headphones and then removing the headphones
