Dialog pops up when trying to power off: "Some applications are busy or have unsaved work", "Unknown application"
After having closed all applications and then having selected "Power Off..." in the menu, sometimes a dialog pops up saying this:
"Some applications are busy or have unsaved work", "Unknown application"
Two problems:
- There is no application running as far as the user can see, so it is confusing for the user that the dialog is claiming that
- It says "Unknown application" where the application's name was supposed to be, giving the impression that strange unknown things are running
Questions:
- When that happens, is there some way for me as a user to find out which application the "Unknown application" is? (I did check "top" in terminal and saw nothing obvious there)
- How does it check for running applications for the purpose of this dialog? Could I do the same check myself from the command line?
- Could the software handling this be changed to at least show a process id (pid) or something in case the application name is indeed unknown?
The dialog works properly in other cases, for example if I have the text editor open with some unsaved text, then the dialog properly shows that, and the application name "Text Editor" is shown properly in that case.
This is on a Librem 5 running the default PureOS byzantium, current phosh version is 0.32.0-1pureos1~byz1.
