Audio very quiet

Feature: https://source.puri.sm/Librem5/use-cases/issues/88

What problem did you encounter

The audio is very quiet, even when the volume is turned all the way up (on the slider)

What is the actual behaviour?

I would expect the volume to be louder coming out of the devkit speaker.

How to reproduce

  1. Open Web
  2. Go to youtube.com
  3. Play any video

What hardware are you running on?

  • amd64 qemu image
  • Librem5 devkit
  • other (please elaborate)

purism@pureos:~$ cat /etc/os-release

VERSION_CODENAME=buster
ID=debian
HOME_URL="https://www.debian.org/"
SUPPORT_URL="https://www.debian.org/support"

Any other information that may be helpful?

I can hear the sound slightly better if I use earbuds plugged into the audio jack, but it's still quiet.
