No SIM card detected
Just got my Librem 5 Byzantium. On day one I was able to make calls and texts. After removing the sim card and putting it back, the L5 can't seem to recognize the SIM card. Runing "sudo mmcli -m 0" recognizes the qualcomm chip, but says "status: failed /n failed reason: sim-missing. My SIM card in is the phone and placed correctly. Ive tried restarting the phone, taking the sim in and out, toggling kill switches.. nothing is working. Any tips?
edit: I will continue to try new things and post here. I have taken out the battery and inserted the SIM card and microsd card, then reinserted the battery. no change. The phone does recognize the microsd and I can open files, play music etc..
edit: Turns out my sim card must have corrupted in the phone? I tried putting in a firends sim card and it worked fine, so I got a new sim card and popped it in and the L5 was able to recognize it. I then just switched my phone number over and everything is good now. I have read somewhere that you might need to take out the battery before switching the sim in order to avoid shorting the card. Not sure if that is what happened, but its a thought.
