export / import local contacts

  • Is there a manual way to save away the local gnome address book? Is it enough to keep a copy of ~/.local/share/evolution/addressbook/system/contacts.db ?

  • Is there planned (upstream of course) GUI-support for conventiently export/import all contacts?

This would make it much easier to move to the phone for people who have contacts locally only on their (android) phone too. And of course it's important to be able to backup personal data.

And for people who flash new images, it would make the phone more usable too.
