ModemManager needs to be fixed to also sync calls and messages on quick resume before this can be enabled.

resuming with --test-quick-suspend-resume works better (faster mobile data connected again for example), but SMS are not shown.
"showing sms" (usually?) works only without --test-quick-suspend-resume, but only because MM is re-connecting (not due to USB kernel re-enumeration) because of a different suspend/resume bug in qmi or MM.
I'd have to test more, but you can probably describe it better and could create an issue for MM https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mobile-broadband/ModemManager/-/issues/ for that
