Not booting after battery went off

Flash the phone with latest software (01/05/21), turn it on, wait that the battery is off, plug the phone.

power button doesn't start the phone, i have to put the battery out/in to make it start.

When the phone is on does the power button turn the display on and off ?

Whats is the "latest software" ? amber-phone, byantium ?

which image did you flash ?

If turning the screen on and off works then turning the phone on should as well. Did you hold the power button for 4 seconds to turn it on ? Was the phone plugged in or not ?

Led was steady green but doesn't boot. I put the battery out/in, it boots. I let it run out of battery and plug it :

50% chance it goes green, yellow and boots without having to touch the power button.

50% chance it goes red, i let it charge a bit, power button 4" does nothing, i unplug it, battery out/in, it goes green, yellow and boots without touching the power button. There is 6% of battery.

After flashing a steady green led is to be expected.

A 10 second hold of the power button should turn it off.

A 4 second hold should turn it on if it is off

an 18 second hold with the power cable disconnected should restart the phone

it's a weird workaround, but 18" is not just for restarting but also for starting when it's off. Thanks for the hint though.
