Due to an influx of spam, we have had to impose restrictions on new accounts. Please see this page for instructions on how to get full permissions. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I've yet to see any notifications for missed calls or incoming text messages, despite having several.
I'm not sure if the notifications are never displayed, or if they just didn't persist.
They should probably persist until explicitly discarded from the notification area, or the messages app is focused. Ideally persisting across boots as well.

I'll update if I see it start working. But that last message created a new conversation, so it's not possible that it was active.
I think Chats may have been the last focused app, but the phone screen was locked. The text message arrived, but the screen did not turn on or indicate any notification. When I unlocked the phone, the message was there in Chats.
I also received 4 text messages in the preceding 2 days, and was completely unaware of them until I opened Chats today.
When a new conversation was created in Chatty, it may have made itself active. Anyway, I've just merged that MR (I thought it was already merged but wasn't), it should help with at least that particular case.
I can confirm that notifications are working when a conversation already exists, but not when the conversation is new (even if there is no window open).
I haven't seen any updates come through to the phone yet, so I can't verify if your fix works or not yet.
Ah..just noticed it's closed already due to the MR being merged in chatty. @mohammed.sadiq this is one issue that affects current users and would benefit from a chatty release.
@sambull note also that notifications can be enabled/disabled on a per chat basis (see chat details) - can you verify these are on for conversation you lack notifications from (i don't think that's the issue but just to be sure).
