Version number mechanism
Problem statement: When I log into WP Admin and look at the Purser plugin, it always says "Version 1.0" no matter what version is installed.
Suggested solution: Please update the plugin to display a version number, and increment that number with each change. If there's a neat way to do this with PHP + Git that's great, otherwise a hardcoded version number that is updated regularly will do.
