This works well for me.

USB ethernet nterfaces get a distinct name now.

Did you have a look at libusbgx/gt and gadget schemes?

Yes, I checked that those are not in Debian and decided to let someone else deal with it :)

Updated check for mass_storage_dummy, plus added a knob to change the device-facing MAC address, since that's actually what is mapped to an IP address via DHCP.

Anyone willing to test and merge this? I just locked myself out of network access while testing another MR !222 (closed) and it made me sad :S

Please move that from librem5-devkit-tools to librem5-base while reworking this. As noted elsewhere we don't want to add any non-devkit specific stuff to librem5-devkit-base so it can get removed eventually on the l5.
