        The "X" disappeared after an update, which looked like a regression. Terminal keyboard and Alt-F4 to the rescue (thank you, IBM, we don't celebrate CUA as much as we should ;)

        Coming from Sailfish OS I tried swipe-closing apps directly to no avail. Only after finding the above mentioned phosh issue did I understand that swipe-closing is confined to the app overview.
