I went through @emersion 's upgrading checklist the other day and i think we have everything fixed up now. Clients like phosh need to understand the transform changes but that's a different matter.
FWIW current wlroots master (b4ed8b3d7414ff6280098da811f873e5c5146d27) needs backported meson 0.54 (which backports cleanly with DEB_BUILD_PROFILES=nocheck and libwayland-server 1.18.0 (also a clean backport) but phoc seems to work with that then.
Running with 0.12.0 now since some time. There's a double-linked list crash (I'll keep poking at that one) that refuses to show under valgrind - apart from that it looks good (on intel). Byzantium has everything needed so i'd just leave amber-phone on 0.10.0 and only backport critical fixes but focus on byzantium otherwise since e.g. phosh needs more and more features from there too.
my comment was meant affirmatve: i'll package 0.13.0 anyway when tagged upstream for Debian and i've been using 0.12.0 for months now without issues so that works for me.
